David is a licensed Attorney, Real Estate Broker and General Building Contractor having also served two terms as a Commissioner for the City of Long Beach.
He graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Public Policy, earning distinctions from both the College Honors Program and the Political Science Departmental Honors Program. David also holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School, where he completed the Law and Business Program. He has been recognized with honors including the City of Long Beach Proclamation, UCLA Chancellor's Award, UCLA Dean's Prize and induction into Phi Beta Kappa.
In his legal career, David has represented national firms in high-stakes construction litigation and dispute resolution. Notable cases include representing a construction management firm with $46 million in claims related to a 180,000-square-foot nursing facility, resolving a $30 million dispute for a general contractor with an architectural firm over a design-build hospital contract, and advising on payment disputes for a luxury oceanfront resort with construction costs exceeding $250 million.
